St. Helena, CA (March 13, 2025) – St. Helena Little League is set to celebrate its 59th season on Saturday, March 15, 2025, with a special Opening Day ceremony at Crane Park. This exciting event begins at 9:00am and will bring together families, community members, and supporters to celebrate another season of youth baseball and softball in St. Helena.
The day’s festivities will include opening remarks from board president Vincent Georges, who will honor longtime league sponsors American Legion, Steve’s Hardware & Housewares, Central Valley Building Supply and Jim Decker for their continued support spanning nearly six decades.
Mike “Flash” Flood of American Legion, Courtney Menegon of Steve’s Hardware & Housewares, Kathleen Patterson of Central Valley Building Supply and Jim Decker are on deck to throw the ceremonial first pitches to their respective teams. These and other local businesses have been integral in the success and growth of the league, providing essential resources to help make the season a success.
The day will also mark the launch of the 2025 fundraising campaign, which aims to raise $50,000 to support scholarships, facility improvements, and the purchase of new uniforms for the league’s players.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the support from our community, sponsors, and volunteers who make everything possible,” said Vincent Georges, President of the St. Helena Little League. “This year’s campaign will help ensure that every child has the opportunity to play, no matter their financial background, and that our facilities continue to be a place where memories are made.
The 2025 season will feature managerial leadership from local volunteers:
- Coach Pitch Managers: Thaddeus Duprey, Madeline Breazeale, Jason Tamagni
- Super Rookie Managers: Matt Fidge, Brian Harlan, Adam Rotello
- Minors Managers: Jeff Blaum, Iggy Delgadillo, Aaron Elam, James Eyer, Jimmy Martinez, Michael Tillotson, Robbie Watermeyer
- Majors Managers: Rebecca Brookman, Boyd Dennington, Michael Grimes, Matthew Heil, Ted Smith
- Intermediate Manager: Jason Driscoll
- Juniors Managers: Brandon Farrell, Paul Villegas
